Following the remarkable success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive has announced a live-action film adaptation in collaboration with Story Kitchen. The project was first revealed in January, ahead of the game's release in April 2025.​



Developed by a small team of around 30 people, the game received widespread acclaim from critics and players alike, surpassing one million copies sold within its initial days.



It features an art style inspired by France's Belle Époque and offers a combat system that blends traditional turn-based mechanics with real-time action.​



The upcoming film will draw from the game's rich world and complex characters, aiming to captivate both gamers and moviegoers.
 

While details about the cast and release date are yet to be announced, the project is set to add a new dimension to the Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 experience.​
