Assassin’s Creed Mirage “Valley of Memories” Expansion Launches Free on November 18

Ubisoft has officially announced a new free expansion for Assassin’s Creed Mirage titled "Valley of Memories", which will be available on November 18 in celebration of the game’s second anniversary.

A New Story Before the Ending

The expansion offers players up to six additional hours of gameplay and story, taking place before the end of the main adventure. It begins when Basim discovers that his long-lost father may still be alive in AlUla, embarking on a journey filled with mystery and danger, as he learns that the Valley of AlUla faces a threat from a dangerous gang of bandits.

A Completely New Map

The expansion takes place in an entirely separate region and offers massive content that includes:

• A new main mission

• Additional assassination targets

• New side quests and contracts

• The ability to play the oud instrument in specific locations after collecting musical notes from parkour challenges

• A new take on the classic “Black Box” missions from the series

The story takes place in AlUla during the 9th century, a valley rich in history featuring stunning natural landscapes and landmarks such as the Old Town of AlUla, the Musa bin Nusayr Fortress, Madain Saleh, and the majestic Hegra Tombs. Despite its beauty, danger lurks, as a gang of bandits has set traps across the desert to hunt down unwelcome visitors.

Improvements Across the Entire Game

The expansion doesn’t just add new story content but also introduces general improvements across both AlUla and Baghdad:

• Replayable missions: All “Black Box” missions and contracts can now be replayed with new challenges such as avoiding Eagle Vision, remaining undetected, or completing the mission within a time limit, offering exclusive in-game rewards.

• Parkour updates: A new manual jump system gives players more freedom of movement, improved rooftop navigation, and the ability to perform sideways and backward jumps freely.

• Skill and tool customization: A new skill called “Engineer 2” has been added, allowing Basim to equip all tier-one modifications for his tools, along with new tier-three upgrades for every item.

• New difficulty levels: Two new difficulty settings have been added, giving players greater freedom to tailor their challenge level.

The "Valley of Memories" expansion is not just a free update, but a new chapter that revives the spirit of adventure and history in one of the world’s most iconic gaming franchises.
