The claim originated from noted horror leaker Dusk Golem, who posted that both pieces of content are in the works and could surface as part of a broader announcement. 

According to the report, the DLC would adapt “Born From A Wish,” the extra scenario that originally arrived alongside Silent Hill 2’s re-releases. That side story focuses on Maria and explores events leading up to her first encounter with James Sunderland, expanding on the remake’s core narrative themes of guilt and identity. 

The same rumor also mentions a PS5 Pro patch aimed at enhanced performance and visuals. No technical targets were specified, but “Pro” updates typically pursue higher or steadier frame rates, improved resolution, or upgraded effects—optimizations that would align with Unreal Engine 5’s toolset used in the remake. 

Timing may be strategic. The leaker speculates Konami could align the DLC reveal with the upcoming Return to Silent Hill film, currently slated for January 2026 and based on Silent Hill 2. If accurate, the tie-in would mirror how publishers often synchronize game beats with screen adaptations to maximize reach. 

The article also reiterates that Bloober Team is preparing an Xbox Series X|S version of the remake after its initial launch on PS5 and PC in October 2024, a move that would expand the audience for any new content or patches released thereafter.
