SEGA Officially Announces Yakuza Kiwami 3 Remake, Launching February 2026
In a move sure to excite fans of Japanese crime and action, SEGA and developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have officially revealed Yakuza Kiwami 3. This full remake of the classic third entry in the franchise—originally released on PlayStation 3—has been rebuilt using the modern Dragon Engine.
The game will release worldwide on February 12, 2026, delivering Kazuma Kiryu’s story with upgraded visuals, smoother gameplay, and quality-of-life improvements that bring the original narrative into a modern standard.
Alongside the remake, SEGA also announced a brand-new side project titled Yakuza 3 Gaiden: Dark Ties, expanding the lore of the series and offering fresh content for long-time fans.
