Chinese developer ChillyRoom, under Sony’s China Hero Project, has officially announced Loulan: The Cursed Sand, an action RPG set to release on PS5 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) though no exact release date is given yet. 

The game plunges players into the lost kingdom of Loulan, along the ancient Silk Road, where they assume the role of a skeletal warrior known as “The Cursed Sand.” With the power to shift between bone form and sand form, players will engage in top-down, fast-paced melee combat, unraveling a tragic love story as they battle through war-torn landscapes. 

Key features highlighted include:

Dual-form combat mechanics (bone vs sand) offering distinct playstyles. 

Isometric/Top-down perspective with a focus on melee battles one-against-many and exploration across hand-crafted regions.
