Originally, the game had been scheduled for an autumn 2025 debut, but this date was first shifted to May 26, 2026, before the latest announcement pushed it further into late 2026. 

According to Rockstar’s official statement, the additional time will allow the team to “finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.”
