Rumor: New Mafia Games Reportedly in Development for the Coming Years
Fresh reports indicate that the Mafia franchise may be expanding once again, with several new titles expected to arrive over the next few years. The rumors gained traction after actress Carina Conti, who portrays Isabella Torrisi, hinted that the next Mafia title will serve as a direct sequel to Mafia: The Old Country.
According to the circulating information, developer Hangar 13 has officially received the green light to begin work on a new installment. The upcoming game is expected to take place between 1920 and 1930, with the story unfolding in Empire Bay, the iconic city fans will recognize from earlier titles.
The narrative will reportedly focus on events that occur prior to Mafia II, expanding the backstory and deepening the universe surrounding familiar characters and criminal organizations. Alongside this, there are separate whispers suggesting that Mafia II itself may receive a remake in the near future, though this has yet to be formally confirmed.
If these rumors prove accurate, the franchise may be entering one of its most active phases in years, blending nostalgia with fresh storytelling for both longtime fans and new players alike.
