Microsoft and Playground Games have officially confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 will fully support cross-progression across all platforms, including PlayStation 5. This marks a major step forward for the franchise and reinforces Microsoft’s growing push toward a more open, platform-agnostic ecosystem.

According to the announcement, players will be able to transfer their save data seamlessly between Xbox consoles, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam and the Xbox app. This means progression, unlocked cars, and in-game achievements will carry over without any loss, regardless of where the player chooses to continue their journey.

In practical terms, players can start racing on Xbox, then switch to PS5 or PC and pick up exactly where they left off. No restarts, no duplicated progress, and no platform restrictions.

Alongside cross-progression, Forza Horizon 6 will also feature full cross-play support. Players on all supported platforms will be able to race together in the same shared open world, removing barriers between console and PC communities and expanding the competitive and social experience.

On the technical side, Microsoft also confirmed that the game will offer two performance modes on Xbox Series X|S consoles. The Quality Mode targets 30 frames per second with enhanced visual fidelity and higher graphical detail, while Performance Mode runs at 60 frames per second to deliver smoother, more responsive driving.

These features position Forza Horizon 6 as one of the most technically flexible entries in the series, catering to both visual enthusiasts and competitive players who prioritize performance.
