GTA 6 May Launch as Digital-Only First, Physical Editions Reportedly Delayed
A new leak has sparked controversy within the gaming community, after leaker Graczdari revealed potential plans to launch GTA 6 in digital format only during its initial release phase, without offering physical disc versions.

According to circulating information, Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, is moving toward adopting this decision in order to reduce the risk of early leaks. Physical copies can sometimes reach certain stores before the official release date, which may lead to story spoilers or gameplay footage leaking ahead of schedule.
A digital-only launch gives Rockstar full control over the global release timing and ensures the game becomes available to all players at the same moment without regional time gaps.

However, regarding the availability of disc versions, reports remain conflicting. Some sources suggest the physical edition could launch three to four weeks after the digital release, while other sources point to a much longer delay that could extend until 2027.

If this information proves accurate, it would represent a major shift in Rockstar’s usual strategy, as the series has traditionally launched both digital and physical versions at the same time.

The news has clearly divided players. Some view a digital-only launch as a logical step to combat leaks, while others oppose the decision due to their preference for owning physical copies for collection or archival purposes.
So far, no official statements have been issued by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive confirming or denying this information.
