Kena: Scars of Kosmora Officially Revealed with New Story, Expanded World, and Enhanced Combat
The first official details have emerged for Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the upcoming sequel set to continue the journey that began with Kena: Bridge of Spirits.
Following the critical and commercial success of the original title, developer Ember Lab has once again partnered with PlayStation Studios to deliver a more ambitious and emotionally driven experience.
This time, Kena returns older and more experienced as a Spirit Guide. The story begins with her journey to the mysterious island of Kosmora in search of a cure for an illness that has followed her throughout her life. However, her mission quickly takes a darker turn when a malevolent spirit destroys her staff, stripping her of her primary source of power.
Forced to adapt, Kena must find new ways to guide spirits and confront the growing corruption on the island. The narrative reportedly places greater emphasis on emotional depth and character encounters, introducing several new allies and adversaries along the way.
One of the major highlights is the expansion of the game’s world. Kosmora is described as significantly larger and more diverse than previous environments, offering varied landscapes and deeper exploration opportunities.
Combat has also been revamped, featuring new abilities and more dynamic mechanics. Players can expect epic boss encounters designed to push both strategy and reflexes to their limits.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora is scheduled to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC, with a specific release date yet to be announced.
