Playground Games has officially confirmed that Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold, marking a major milestone as the highly anticipated racing title nears release. This status means that core development is now complete, with only final launch-day optimizations and updates remaining before players can jump in.

With this announcement, preloading for Forza Horizon 6 is now available across both Xbox and PC platforms, allowing players to download the game ahead of its official release. However, players will need to clear a significant amount of storage space, as the game’s file size is among the largest in the series so far.

According to the revealed details, the game will require approximately 130–135GB on consoles, while the PC version can reach up to 160GB, making it a demanding install for most systems. These numbers place Forza Horizon 6 alongside some of the biggest modern AAA titles in terms of storage requirements.

Beyond its technical scale, the game is also pushing boundaries in presentation and content. Reports indicate that the in-game soundtrack will be the largest in the franchise’s history, featuring nine different radio stations, each offering a variety of music styles to enhance the open-world driving experience.

As for release timing, Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch globally on May 19, while players who purchase the premium edition will gain early access starting May 15. This staggered release approach continues the trend seen in previous major Xbox titles.

Set in a vibrant open-world environment inspired by Japan, the game aims to deliver a massive racing playground filled with diverse landscapes, urban environments, and a wide selection of vehicles.
