Rockstar Games released an official statement following an explosion and fire that occurred early this morning at its Edinburgh offices.

According to the company, Rockstar North has already reopened and resumed full operations, confirming that development on Grand Theft Auto 6 has not been impacted in any way by the incident.

Reports indicate that the explosion was caused by a faulty boiler, which led to a fire inside the building during the early hours of the day. Emergency services responded quickly, and firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the fire in a short time.

The studio confirmed that the damage was minor and that no employees were injured.

Despite the alarming nature of the event, Rockstar reassured fans and partners that everything is under control and that work on GTA 6 continues as planned.
