Insomniac’s Venom Spin-Off Reportedly Nearing Completion with Advanced Development Progress
Recent reports indicate that the standalone Venom game from Insomniac Games has reached advanced stages of development, with combat and movement systems completed and the story undergoing clear refinement.

According to circulating information, the project has moved beyond the early stages, with core gameplay elements finalized, increasing the likelihood of an official reveal in the near future.

The game is said to be similar in scope to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, offering a complete standalone experience but smaller in scale than the main installments. It will feature a full lead role for Eddie Brock, reflecting the studio’s desire to expand the Spider-Man universe more deeply.

This direction aligns with Sony and Insomniac’s plan to build a connected universe of heroes, especially following the announcement of the Marvel’s Wolverine project, opening the door for greater character and story variety within the same universe.

If these reports are confirmed, Venom will no longer be just an additional antagonist within Spider-Man’s story, but will instead receive full space to present his own vision and distinct style.

So far, no official announcement has been made, but current indicators suggest that Venom may soon transition from a supporting character to a main protagonist in a fully standalone experience.
